Everyday Scrolls Of Wisdom

Unfiltered curiosity

When people mention to remember your past to see what your interests were, I don't think they mean for you to actually go back to live in that time.

I think it is referring to see what triggered you to get interested in certain things.

What was it about the things you enjoyed that kept you locked in?

What caught your eye?

What caught your mind?

What caught your attention?

Something easily triggered you back then, but now, it is filled with more barriers somehow.

Like now, I feel a bit skeptical if something interests me, and I think of the time-cost of going down certain rabbit holes.

But back then, if something interested me, I'd go a mile deep all afternoon until late at night, just seeing where it would take me.

That younger sense of curiosity without any judgment perhaps.

I sense there is some deeper meaning there.

But the thing to take away, is to revisit those past interests to dig deeper about yourself more than the things themselves.

Ultimately, those interests were about you.

Was it because you loved a certain character in a show?

Was it the wonder of playing in a world inside a game?

Was it the skills you were developing and progressing in while going to basketball summer camp that made you like it?

Over to you... what would you revisit?
