Rhythms of Money
As I track all my finances and view the history of my net worth, I noticed the rhythms of money.
(+) Biweekly paycheques.
(+) weekly options income.
(-) Monthly subscriptions.
(-) Groceries
(-) other expenses throughout the month.
My cash is always shifting. It always flows.
But as I zoom out,
As I gather more data over a longer period,
Something happens.
I can see clearer.
I can see patterns.
I can see the trends.
The macro and micro trends suddenly appear.
The daily fluctuations may seem drastic in a short timeframe,
But with a wider view, it’s part of the repeatable pattern
So I can breathe and relax.
In Q1 this year, I focused heavily on building my cash reserves as I incurred big unexpected expenses in Q3-Q4 last year.
So I did a spending freeze to recoup that.
I also followed an options trading program to grow my capital by 1% a week.
As I predicted, I am now above my initial threshold.
By seeing the rhythms of my money, I feel at ease and confident knowing my balances will work themselves out and compound.
