Everyday Scrolls Of Wisdom

Reflections On Daily Blogging

I've been reflecting about this blog and my daily writing habit.

I took a step back a few days ago.

And I realize that something was missing in my days.

It was the daily writing habit.

I found this habit to be a good self-reflection of my days.

However, I started to add complexities to it.

Like, writing it later and later in the day. Then using it to share it on X.

And I thought I would wait until later in the day until I had a better idea on what to share.

Meanwhile, my inbox of ideas has never grown more.

Like my blog, I felt my Mac needed more complexity. My laptop didn't need fancy upgrades. It was just getting old and needed something fresh. I reformatted my laptop several times to make it faster. I messed up trying to dual-boot with linux on my 2013 macbook pro. Not a great idea after all as I lost my data that was on my mac when I couldn't boot back from my mac for some reason...

Big mistake.

I almost purchased a new computer out of sheer frustration.

But, after reformatting and coming back to the latest OS on this thing, it's fine.

I don't need to learn a new operating system. Nor for it to be blazing fast.

This machine for now can continue to do it's job, even though its 12 years old.

Which brings me back to this blog.

It was doing it's job just being a blog.

No shiny pictures or videos or complicated designs or even long procedures or step by step things.

None of that.

My thoughts, ideas, lessons, put together quickly and I posted daily.

After a recent reformatting of myself - per se - I see the power in this blog for me, and for others. I also consider this blog as my daily effort to speak up. And put my voice out there.

My initial goal for this blog was to write in it for 14 days in a row.

I completed that without any hiccups. I actually went for 37 days in a row. More than doubling it.

Now, my next goal is (redacted) in a row. Let's see how far I can stretch that goal.

During that time, I imagine a lot will change in myself, this blog, the stuff I talk about, what I'll promote and create.

Here's to the next (redacted) of simple blogging.

Here we go.
